Kriseman Administration and Transparency

On December 11, 203 I filed a Public Records Request with the City Clerk requesting the minutes of the Transition Team Public Safety Committee

Hi Tish:

Thanks for the reminder.  No, copies have not been sent to Gene Webb at this time.  The Transition team, a group of volunteers largely consisting of private citizens, has its own procedures, which will be followed under the direction of the private, volunteer private-sector Transition Team Co-Chairs.  The Minutes must be approved by the Chair and the members of the Task Group, and then submitted to the appropriate Transition Team Co-Chair for processing.  They then will be submitted to the volunteer Interim Chief of Staff, who passes them on to you and your City Web Masters for entry and posting on the Mayor-Elect's Web Site. 

At that time, when the Minutes have been officially submitted and posted, I shall honor the Request for Information from Gene Webb.  Each Task Group which I oversee (as Co-Chair/Coordinator) will follow this procedure.  I believe that the Task Groups coordinated   by  Co-Chair, Andy M. Hayes, also are following the same procedure.  In any case, the Public Safety Task Group is one which I coordinate and I am following the above procedure.

Please let me know if there are other requests or if you have additional questions.  As usual, Thank you so very much for your follow-up and your assistance.

For the record report is now on line at The Mayors Public Safety Transition Team Report .
The Public Records Request, however was never filled as required by State Statute.
We can probably write this one off to all the confusion surrounding the startup of the new administration.

But with all that horse power and expense in the new "Office of The Mayor" attention to transparency should be a high priority.
