Jeep Beach 2024 Bigger, Better, EXPENSIVE

Jeep Beach 2024 seemed to be bigger and better and a lot more expensive than in the past.

This year's event featured several new and modified features. The vendor section had been moved from the infield to along the front straightaway, and the obstacle course between the stands and the infield.

Due to a new arrival at our house, an 11 LB, 7 week old Double Doodle puppy (Cody) our attendance at many of the various events was limited to our ability to get puppy setting. Next year he'll be joining us at the event.

This year the on-track event where you get to drive your Jeep on the Daytona International Speedway. Was different than times past.

We were there early with a 9:40 AM start time and we're part of the second or third group to get out on the track. In the past this was truly a parade event. You lined up and everybody headed out onto the track with several Jeep lengths between vehicles and made a parade lap around the track and exited.

This year, Jeeps were admitted to the track in a small group and there were three laps around the track at speeds upwards of 60 miles an hour allowing you to get a little up on the banking.

My wife drove and it was an exciting ride.

The Jeep Beach people do a great job of putting on an event of this size and making things go very smoothly. They have a lot of help from an army of volunteers and a lot of cooperation from the Speedway and the community. It works out great for everybody.

If I have a complaint, it would be that the Jeep Beach people seem to be very much centered on money. If you go for the whole week long package and the events, packages, and other offerings it can get really expensive. They don't miss a chance to sell you an extra ticket, collect a few dollars for this or that and at the end it can add up to a pretty expensive week. All in the name of charity of course.

Work is already underway on Jeep Beach 2025 you might want to think about going up online and making your lodging arrangements right now.

We don't know what the new year will hold, what with the election and everything. But one thing is dependable, Jeep Beach 2025 will be an exciting event.
